What Customers Say About Boston Acoustics TVee Powered Soundbar Speaker System with Wireless Subwoofer (Black):

Ymmv as audio enjoyment is truly subjective.Ok, Ok, I realize this is not true 'surround sound' many of you audiophiles covet but for those of you looking for a simple, hassle free and relatively inexpensive solution to vastly improving your TV's audio, the Boston Acoustics TVEE 2 soundbar might just fit your needs. Also, we're probably one of the few consumers where the wireless feature really didn't make a difference to us as the cabinet is in a corner of the family room with no wires visible - in other words, after comparing apples to apples in the bricks and mortar showrooms, the sound alone was what sold us on this item. Being long and low profile, it doesn't detract in the least from the TV itself, leaving the Samsung logo and 100% of the screen still viewable.

After several weeks of viewing enjoyment, the only thing we found fault with was the internal sound/speakers. Its wireless woofer adds immeasurably to the enjoyment of any show you're watching w/o drowning out the dialog - a very important factor which other soundbars we test drove had a problem with. In March '09 we purchased a Samsung LN52A650 TV.

It also sits nicely on the base of the Samsung TV which in our home sits on top of a 4 1/2' tall cabinet. Hope this helps - Not wanting a full home theater system (5.1 surround, etc)., we solved the problem with a Boston Acoustics TVEE 2 Soundbar.

Not only does it vastly improve the acoustics, but the TV's remote can be programmed easily to increase or decrease volume coming directly from the Soundbar itself after the TV's internal speakers are disabled.

Also, does anyone know if this comes with mounting brackets to clip on to the top or bottom of the flat screen display. I like the idea of the TVee -- I am not looking for a surround sound system and only something to clip on to my 42" plasma -- but the after market concerns me. Why is there such a large after market on refurbished Boston Acoustics TVee units. Are these being returned for defects or by dissatisfied costumers and being sold basically as used items.

I'd looked at several types of 2.1 systems and soundbars. But, I have a very large room and I think this would be better suited to a medium to small room.I have no major complaints.

No problems of having to get up and use manual controls as others have experienced.Overall, if you can get this for 300ish it's OK, but I wouldn't pay much more. For me, it worked fine with my Verizon FIOS remote and we can adjust the volume from our viewing location about 8' away.

[.]. This TV is not used for watching DVD or playing games so what helped me decide was the easy hookup, smaller size and IMPORTANTLY the wireless subwoofer. It delivers more "depth" to the audio aspects of watching the TV, it was really easy to set up and overall it does what I want it to.

There are better options at that price.Hope this helps. I wanted something to add volume and depth to an old school Sony VVega 32" TV that was housed in an armoire.

[.].

just hang it on the wall and plug it in. even turns itself off. sounds great.Boston Acoustics TVee Powered Soundbar Speaker System with Wireless Subwoofer (Black) it does everthing i had hoped for and more. volume control from the tv remote.

Installation was very easy, and I achieved what I had hoped to achieve without a substantial investment. This Boston Acoustics soundbar provides sound so superior to that from the Television itself, without cluttering my small den with all the speakers and wires that would be part of a surround system.
